IF NECESSARY, GRIND AND HONE MAIN
JOURNALS AND/OR CRANK PINS
Grind and hone the main journals and/ or crank pins to
the finished undersized diameter (See procedure step 2).
Install new main journal and I or crank pin undersized
bearings.

INSPECT CAMSHAFT OIL CLEARANCE
(a) Using a cylinder gauge, measure the inside diameter
of the camshaft bearing.

0.15 mm {0.0059 in.)
If the clearance is greater than maximum, replace the
camshaft bearings. If necessary, grind or replace the
camshaft.
