REMOVE ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT, FAN,
FLUID COUPLING AND WATER PUMP PULLEY
(a) Remove the four nuts holding the fluid coupling to
the pulley seat.
(b) Loosen the alternator adjusting lock bolt, adjusting
bolt, pivot bolt and nut, and remove the drive belt.
(c) Pull out the fan and fluid coupling with the fan
shroud.
(d) Remove the fan from the fluid coupling.

REMOVE ALTERNATOR (See page CH-6)

REMOVE A/C DRIVE BELT
9.
DISCONNECT HOSES FROM WATER PUMP
(a) Water inlet hose
(b) Water by-pass hose
(c) Heater water hose
(d) Oil cooler water hoses
10. REMOVE WATER PUMP, PS IDLER PULLEY WITH
BRACKET ASSEMBLY AND ALTERNATOR STAY
BRACKET
(a) Remove the bolt two nuts and PS idler pulley with
bracket assembly.
(b) Remove the bolt, nut, alternator stay bracket, water
pump and gasket.
