REMOVAL
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Remove clutch cable joint nut (1).
3) Remove joint pin (2) from clutch release lever (3).
4) Remove clutch cable outer bolts (1) from dash panel (2) in
engine room.
5) Disconnect cable hook from clutch pedal, then take off cable.
INSPECTION
Inspect clutch cable and replace it for any of the following condi-
tions.
• Excessive cable friction
• Frayed cable
• Bent or kinked cable
• Broken boots
• Worn end
