12. WHEN USING WITH A GENERAL-PURPOSE INTERFACE

12.6.1 Startup

(1) Test operation
Before starting an actual operation, perform a test operation to make sure that the machine operates
normally.
Refer to section 12.3 for how to power on and off the servo amplifier.
Test operation of the servo motor
alone in JOG operation of
test operation mode
Manual operation of the servo
motor alone in test
operation mode
Test operation with the servo
motor and machine connected
Automatic operation by
indexer method
In this step, confirm that the servo amplifier and the servo motor operate
normally.
With the servo motor disconnected from the machine, use the test operation
mode and check whether the servo motor correctly rotates at the slowest
speed possible. For details of the test operation mode, refer to section 4.7 of
"MR-JE-_C Servo Amplifier Instruction Manual".
In this step, confirm that the servo motor rotates correctly at the slowest
speed in the manual operation mode.
Make sure that the servo motor rotates in the following procedure.
1) Switch on EM2 (Forced stop 2) and SON (Servo-on). When the servo
amplifier is in a servo-on status, RD (Ready) switches on.
2) Switch on LSP (Forward rotation stroke end) and LSN (Reverse rotation
stroke end).
3) To rotate the servo motor, turn on ST1 (Forward rotation start) in the
manual operation mode with the controller. Set a low speed in [Pr. PC07]
or [Pr. PC08] at first, and then operate the servo motor, in order to check
the rotation direction of the motor, etc. If the servo motor does not
operate in the intended direction, check the input signal.
In this step, connect the servo motor with the machine and confirm that the
machine operates normally with the commands from the controller.
PC07]
or [Pr. PC08] at first, and then operate the servo motor, in order to check
the operation direction of the machine, etc. If the servo motor does not
operate in the intended direction, check the input signal. In the status
display, check for any problems of the servo motor speed, load ratio, etc.
Check automatic operation from the controller.
