VACON · 302
502 ACCELERATION TIME 2 234567 (2.4.3)
503 DECELERATION TIME 2 234567 (2.4.4)
These values correspond to the time required for the output frequency to accelerate from the
zero frequency to the set maximum frequency (parameter ID102). These parameters give the
possibility to set two different acceleration/ deceleration time sets for one application. The
active set can be selected with the programmable signal DIN3 (parameter ID301).

When the AC drive is decelerating the motor, the inertia of the motor and the load are fed
into an external brake resistor. This enables the AC drive to decelerate the load with a torque
equal to that of acceleration (provided that the correct brake resistor has been selected).
The brake chopper test mode generates a pulse to the resistor every second. If the pulse
feedback is wrong (resistor or chopper is missing) fault F12 is generated.
See separate Brake resistor installation manual.
