2-­‐11.2.2 V LAN C onfiguration
When M LD s nooping i s e nabled o n a V LAN, t he s witch a cts t o m inimize u nnecessary m ulticast t raffic.
If the switch receives multicast traffic destined for a given multicast address, it forwards that traffic
only to ports on the VLAN that have MLD hosts for that address. It drops that traffic for ports on the
VLAN t hat h ave n o M LD h osts.
The will use the last entry of the currently displayed entry as a basis for the next lookup. When the
end is reached, the text "No more entries" is shown in the displayed table. Use the button to start
over.

2. Specify t he V LAN I D w ith e ntries p er p age.

4. Click " << o r > > " t o m ove t o p revious o r n ext e ntry.

Define t he I Pv4 a ddress a s t he s ource a ddress u sed i n a n I P h eader f or I GMP Q uerier e lection.
When the Querier address is not set, the system uses the IPv4 management address of the IP
interface a ssociated w ith t his V LAN.
When the IPv4 management address is not set, the system uses the first available IPv4
management a ddress.
Otherwise, t he s ystem u ses a p re-­‐defined v alue. B y d efault, t his v alue w ill b e 1 92.0.2.1.
