The log is a standard for logging program messages. It allows separation of the software that
generates messages from the system that stores them and the software that reports and analyzes
them. It can be used as well for general information, analysis, and debugging messages. It is
supported b y a w ide v ariety o f d evices a nd r eceivers a cross m ultiple p latforms.
Web I nterface
To c onfigure l og c onfiguration i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Click C onfiguration, S ystem, a nd l og.
2. Specify t he s yslog p arameters, i ncluding t he I P A ddress o f S yslog s erver a nd P ort n umber.
3. Evoke t he S yslog t o e nable i t.
4. Click A pply.


