Agent C onfiguration
IP A ddress

The IP address used as Agent IP address in sFlow datagrams. It serves as a unique key that will
identify t his a gent o ver e xtended p eriods o f t ime.
Both I Pv4 a nd I Pv6 a ddresses a re s upported.
Receiver C onfiguration
Owner

Basically, s Flow c an b e c onfigured i n t wo w ays: T hrough l ocal m anagement u sing t he W eb o r C LI
interface o r t hrough S NMP. T his r ead-­‐only f ield s hows t he o wner o f t he c urrent s Flow
configuration a nd a ssumes v alues a s f ollows:
• I f s Flow i s c urrently u nconfigured/unclaimed, O wner c ontains < none>.
• I f s Flow i s c urrently c onfigured t hrough W eb o r C LI, O wner c ontains < Configured t hrough l ocal
management>.
• I f s Flow i s c urrently c onfigured t hrough S NMP, O wner c ontains a s tring i dentifying t he s Flow
receiver.
If s Flow i s c onfigured t hrough S NMP, a ll c ontrols -­‐ e xcept f or t he R elease-­‐button -­‐ a re d isabled t o
avoid i nadvertent r econfiguration.
The b utton a llows f or r eleasing t he c urrent o wner a nd d isable s Flow s ampling. T he b utton i s
disabled i f s Flow i s c urrently u nclaimed. I f c onfigured t hrough S NMP, t he r elease m ust b e
confirmed ( a c onfirmation r equest w ill a ppear).
IP A ddress/Hostname

The I P a ddress o r h ostname o f t he s Flow r eceiver. B oth I Pv4 a nd I Pv6 a ddresses a re s upported.
UDP P ort

The U DP p ort o n w hich t he s Flow r eceiver l istens t o s Flow d atagrams. I f s et t o 0 ( zero), t he d efault
port ( 6343) i s u sed.
Timeout

The n umber o f s econds r emaining b efore s ampling s tops a nd t he c urrent s Flow o wner i s r eleased.
While active, the current time left can be updated with a click of the Refresh-­‐button. If locally
managed, t he t imeout c an b e c hanged o n t he f ly w ithout a ffecting a ny o ther s ettings.
