The section describes how to configure the Port's alias or any descriptions for the Port Identity. The
user can enter an alphanumeric string that describes the full name and version identification for the
system's h ardware t ype, s oftware v ersion, a nd n etworking a pplication.
Web I nterface
To c onfigure a P ort D escription i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Click C onfiguration, P ort, t hen P ort D escription.
2. Specify the detail Port alias or description an alphanumeric string describing the full name and
version identification for the system's hardware type, software version, and networking
application.
3. Click A pply.
