Configuration N ame:

The name that identifies the VLAN to MSTI mapping. Bridges must share the name and revision
(see b elow), a s w ell a s t he V LAN-­‐to-­‐MSTI m apping c onfiguration t o s hare s panning t rees f or M STIs
(Intra-­‐region). T he n ame i s, a t m ost, 3 2 c haracters.
Configuration R evision:

The revision of the MSTI configuration named above. This must be an integer between 0 and
65535.
MSTI:

The b ridge i nstance. T he C IST i s n ot a vailable f or e xplicit m apping, b ecause i t w ill r eceive t he V LANs
not e xplicitly m apped.
VLANs M apped:

The l ist o f V LANs m apped t o t he M STI. T he V LANs c an b e g iven a s a s ingle V LAN ( xx, x x i s b etween
1 and 4094), or a range (xx–yy), each of which must be separated with comma and/or space. A
VLAN c an o nly b e m apped t o o ne M STI. A n u nused M STI s hould j ust b e l eft e mpty ( i.e., i t d oes n ot
have a ny V LANs m apped t o i t). E xample: 2 , 5 , 2 0–40.
