Parameter d escription:
VLAN U SER

VLAN User module uses services of the VLAN management functionality to configure VLAN
memberships and VLAN port configurations such as PVID and UVID. Currently we support the
following V LAN u ser t ypes:
CLI/Web/SNMP: T hese a re r eferred t o a s s tatic.
NAS: NAS provides port-­‐based authentication, which involves communications between a
Supplicant, A uthenticator, a nd a n A uthentication S erver.
MVRP: M ultiple V LAN R egistration P rotocol ( MVRP) a llows d ynamic r egistration a nd d eregistration
of V LANs o n p orts o n a V LAN b ridged n etwork.
Voice VLAN: V oice V LAN i s a V LAN c onfigured s pecially f or v oice t raffic t ypically o riginating f rom I P
phones.
MVR: MVR i s u sed t o e liminate t he n eed t o d uplicate m ulticast t raffic f or s ubscribers i n e ach V LAN.
Multicast t raffic f or a ll c hannels i s s ent o nly o n a s ingle ( multicast) V LAN.
MSTP: T he 8 02.1s M ultiple S panning T ree p rotocol ( MSTP) u ses V LANs t o c reate m ultiple s panning
trees in a network, which significantly improves network resource use while maintaining a
loop-­‐free e nvironment.
