through   4 094   i s   u sed   t o   d efine   a   v alid   V LAN   I D.   A   v alue   o f   0   ( Priority   T agged)   i s   u sed   i f   t he   d evice   i s  
using  priority  tagged  frames  as  defined  by  IEEE  802.1Q-­‐2003,   meaning   that   only   the   IEEE   802.1D  
priority   l evel   i s   s ignificant   a nd   t he   d efault   P VID   o f   t he   i ngress   p ort   i s   u sed   i nstead.  
Priority:  
Priority  is  the  Layer  2  priority   to   be   used   for   the   specified   application   type.   It   is   one   of   the   eight  
priority   l evels   ( 0   t hrough   7 ).  
DSCP:  
DSCP  is  the  DSCP  value  to  be  used  to  provide  Diffserv  node  behavior  for  the  specified  application  
type   a s   d efined   i n   I ETF   R FC   2 474.   C ontains   o ne   o f   6 4   c ode   p oint   v alues   ( 0   t hrough   6 3).  
Auto-­‐negotiation  
Auto-­‐negotiation   i dentifies   i f   M AC/PHY   a uto-­‐negotiation   i s   s upported   b y   t he   l ink   p artner.  
Auto-­‐negotiation   s tatus  
Auto-­‐negotiation   status   identifies   if   auto-­‐negotiation   is   currently   enabled   at   the   link   partner.   If  
Auto-­‐negotiation  is  supported  and  Auto-­‐negotiation   status  is  disabled,  the  802.3  PMD  operating  
mode   w ill   b e   d etermined   t he   o perational   M AU   t ype   f ield   v alue   r ather   t han   b y   a uto-­‐negotiation.
