This s ection d escribes h ow t o c onfigure I P S ource G uard s etting i ncluding:
Mode ( Enabled a nd D isabled)
Maximum D ynamic C lients ( 0, 1 , 2 , U nlimited)
Web I nterface
To c onfigure a n I P S ource G uard C onfiguration i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Select " Enabled" i n t he I P S ource G uard C onfiguration m ode.
2. Select " Enabled" o f t he s pecific p ort i n t he P ort M ode C onfiguration m ode.
3. Select Maximum Dynamic Clients (0, 1, 2, Unlimited) of the specific port in the Port Mode
Configuration m ode.
4. Click A pply.

Mode o f I P S ource G uard C onfiguration:

Enable the Global IP Source Guard or disable the Global IP Source Guard. All configured ACEs will
be l ost w hen t he m ode i s e nabled.
Port M ode C onfiguration:

Specify IP Source Guard as enabled on which ports. Only when both Global Mode and Port Mode
on a g iven p ort a re e nabled, I P S ource G uard w ill b e e nabled o n t his g iven p ort.
Max D ynamic C lients:

Specify t he m aximum n umber o f d ynamic c lients t hat c an b e l earned o n g iven p ort. T his v alue c an
be 0 , 1 , 2 , o r u nlimited. I f t he p ort m ode i s e nabled a nd t he v alue o f m ax d ynamic c lient i s e qual t o
0, o nly I P p ackets a re f orwarded t hat m atch s tatic e ntries o n t he s pecific p ort.
