This section describes how to export the Switch Configuration for maintenance needs. Any current
configuration f iles w ill b e e xported a s t ext f ormat.
You c an d ownload a f ile f rom t he w eb b rowser t o a ll t he f iles o n t he s witch, e xcept d efault-­‐config,
which i s r ead-­‐only.
Select t he f ile t o d ownload, s elect t he d estination f ile o n t he t arget, t hen c lick.
If t he d estination i s r unning-­‐config, t he f ile w ill b e a pplied t o t he s witch c onfiguration. T his c an b e
done i n t wo w ays:
Replace mode: The current configuration is fully replaced with the configuration in the

downloaded f ile.
Merge m ode: T he d ownloaded f ile i s m erged i nto r unning-­‐config.

If t he f ile s ystem i s f ull ( i.e. c ontains t he t hree s ystem f iles m entioned a bove p lus t wo o ther f iles), i t
is n ot p ossible t o c reate n ew f iles, b ut a n e xisting f ile m ust b e o verwritten o r a nother d eleted f irst.
