constrain t raffic f lows a nd m ark f rames a bove s pecific r ates. P olicing i s p rimarily u seful f or d ata f lows
and v oice o r v ideo f lows b ecause v oice a nd v ideo u sually m aintains a s teady r ate o f t raffic.
Web I nterface
To d isplay t he Q oS P ort S chedulers i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Click C onfiguration, Q oS, P ort P olicing.
2. Select which port needs to enable the QoS Ingress Port Policers and type the Rate limit
condition.
3. Scroll t o s elect t he R ate l imit U nit w ith k bps, M bps, f ps, a nd k fps.
4. Click A pply t o s ave t he c onfiguration.

 Port:
The logical port for the settings contained in the same row. Click on the port number to configure
the s chedulers.
Enabled:

Select t he P ort t hat y ou n eed t o e nable t he Q oS I ngress P ort P olicers f unction f or.
Rate:

Set t he R ate l imit v alue f or t his p ort; t he d efault i s 5 00.
Unit:

Scroll t o s elect t he r ate u nit. C hoose f rom k bps, M bps, f ps, a nd k fps. T he d efault i s k bps.
 Flow C ontrol:
If f low c ontrol i s e nabled a nd t he p ort i s i n f low c ontrol m ode, t hen p ause f rames a re s ent i nstead
of d iscarding f rames.
