according  to  the  ports  priority.  If  two  ports  have  the  same  priority,  the  port  with  the  highest  port  
number   i s   s hut   d own.  
2.   Reserved   Power:   In   this   mode   the   ports   are   shut   down   when   total   reserved   powered   exceeds  
the   a mount   o f   p ower   t hat   t he   p ower   s upply   c an   d eliver.   I n   t his   m ode,   t he   p ort   p ower   i s   n ot   t urned  
on   i f   t he   P D   r equests   m ore   p ower   t han   i s   a vailable   f rom   t he   p ower   s upply.  
Primary   a nd   B ackup   P ower   S ource:  
Some  switches  support  having  two  PoE  power  supplies.  One  is  used  as  primary  power  source,  and  
one   as   backup   power   source.   If   the   switch   doesn't   support   a   backup   power   supply,   only   the  
primary  power  supply  settings  will  be  shown.  If  the  primary  power  source  fails,  the  backup  power  
source   will   take   over.   To   determine   the   amount   of   power   the   PD   may   use,   you   must   define   the  
amount   o f   p ower   t hat   t he   p rimary   a nd   b ackup   p ower   s ources   c an   d eliver.    
Valid   v alues   a re   i n   t he   r ange   0   t o   2 000   W atts.  
Port:  
This   i s   t he   l ogical   p ort   n umber   f or   t his   r ow.    
Ports   t hat   a re   n ot   P oE-­‐capable   a re   g rayed   o ut   a nd   i mpossible   t o   c onfigure   P oE   f or.  
PoE   M ode:  
The   P oE   M ode   r epresents   t he   P oE   o perating   m ode   f or   t he   p ort.  
Disabled:   P oE   d isabled   f or   t he   p ort.    
PoE:   E nables   P oE   I EEE   8 02.3af   ( Class   4   P Ds   l imited   t o   1 5.4   W ).  
PoE+:   E nables   P oE+   I EEE   8 02.3at   ( Class   4   P Ds   l imited   t o   3 0   W ).  
Priority:  
The   P riority   r epresents   t he   p orts   p riority.   T here   a re   t hree   l evels   o f   p ower   p riority   n amed   L ow,   H igh,  
and   C ritical.  
The   priority   is   used   in   the   case   where   the   remote   devices   requires   more   power   than   the   power  
supply   c an   d eliver.   I n   t his   c ase,   t he   p orts   w ith   t he   l owest   p riority   w ill   t urn   o ff   s tarting   w ith   t he   p ort  
with   t he   h ighest   p ort   n umber.  
Maximum   P ower:  
The   M aximum   P ower   v alue   c ontains   a   n umerical   v alue   t hat   i ndicates   t he   m aximum   p ower   i n   w atts  
that   c an   b e   d elivered   t o   a   r emote   d evice.  
The   m aximum   a llowed   v alue   i s   3 0   W .
