In a p rivate V LAN, c ommunication b etween p orts i n t hat p rivate V LAN i s n ot p ermitted. A V LAN c an
be c onfigured a s a p rivate V LAN.
2-­‐16.1 V LAN M embership
The VLAN membership configuration for the selected stack switch unit switch can be monitored and
modified here. Up to 4096 VLANs are supported. From this page, you can add and delete VLANs as
well a s a dding a nd d eleting p ort m embers o f e ach V LAN.
Web I nterface
To c onfigure V LAN m embership c onfiguration i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Click V LAN m embership C onfiguration.
2. Specify t he M anagement V LAN I D: 0 –4094.
3. Click A pply.

PVLAN I D:

Indicates t he I D o f t his p articular p rivate V LAN
Port M embers:

A row of check boxes for each port is displayed for each VLAN ID. To include a port in a VLAN,
check the box. To remove or exclude the port from the VLAN, make sure the box is unchecked. By
default, n o p orts a re m embers, a nd a ll b oxes a re u nchecked.
 Adding a N ew V LAN:
Click to add a new VLAN ID. An empty row is added to the table, and the VLAN can be configured
as n eeded. L egal v alues f or a V LAN I D a re 1 t hrough 4 095.
The VLAN is enabled on the selected stack switch unit when you click on "Save." The VLAN is
thereafter present on the other stack switch units, but with no port members. The check box is
grayed o ut w hen V LAN i s d isplayed o n o ther s tacked s witches, b ut u sers c an a dd m ember p orts t o
it.
A V LAN w ithout a ny p ort m embers o n a ny s tack u nit w ill b e d eleted w hen y ou c lick " Save."
Use t he b utton t o u ndo t he a ddition o f n ew V LANs.
