When you implement a Spanning Tree protocol on the switch in the bridge instance, the CIST is the
default a nd i s a lways a ctive. T o c ontrol t he b ridge p riority, l ower n umeric v alues h ave b etter p riority.
The b ridge p riority p lus t he M STI i nstance n umber, c oncatenated w ith t he 6 -­‐byte M AC a ddress o f t he
switch, f orms a B ridge I dentifier.
The s ection d escribes h ow t o i nspect t he c urrent S TP M STI b ridge i nstance p riority c onfigurations, a nd
possibly c hange t hem.

To c onfigure t he S panning T ree M STI P riorities p arameters i n t he w eb i nterface:
1. Click C onfiguration, S panning T ree, M STI P riorities.
2. Scroll t he P riority; t he m aximum i s 2 40. D efault i s 1 28.
3. Click S ave t o s ave t he s etting.
4. To c ancel t he s etting, c lick t he R eset b utton. I t w ill r evert t o p reviously s aved v alues.
