reset counters interface

Use reset counters interface to clear the Ethernet interface or subinterface statistics.
Syntax
reset counters interface [ interface-type [ interface-number | interface-number.subnumber ] ]

Parameters
interface-type: Specifies an interface type.
interface-number: Specifies an interface number.
interface-number.subnumber: Specifies a subinterface number, where interface-number is an interface
number and subnumber is the number of a subinterface created under the interface. The subnumber
argument is in the range of 1 to 4094.
Usage guidelines
Clear old statistics on the interface or subinterface before collecting new traffic statistics for a specific
period of time.
If no interface type is specified, this command clears statistics for all interfaces on the device.
If only the interface type is specified, this command clears statistics for all interfaces of the specified
type.
If both the interface type and number are specified, this command only clears statistics for the
specified interface or subinterface.
Examples
# Clear the statistics of GigabitEthernet 4/0/1.
<Sysname> reset counters interface gigabitethernet 4/0/1
# Clear the statistics of subinterface GigabitEthernet 4/0/1.1.
<Sysname> reset counters interface gigabitethernet 4/0/1.1

reset packet-drop interface

Use reset packet-drop interface to clear statistics for dropped packets on an interface or multiple
interfaces.

reset packet-drop interface [ interface-type [ interface-number ] ]
