Upgrading a Standalone Appliance to a Clustered Configuration (BUI)
1.
Connect the cluster cables between the standalone appliance and second
controller.

2.
On the second controller, connect the power cables into power supply 0 and
power supply 1. Then connect each cable to the external power source.
The second controller powers on automatically.
Connect the second controller to the disk shelves.

On the standalone controller, go to Configuration > Cluster.
5.
Confirm that the communication links between the two controllers are connected
and active.
If three solid lines are not shown, ensure that the three cluster cables are properly connected and
secure in their connectors.
6.
Click SETUP.

Enter the host name for the second controller and the same root password that
is set on the first controller.

On the standalone controller, go to Configuration > Cluster and click the lock
icon
Locking the management interface to the controller will prevent a transfer of resources when a
failback occurs.

Go to Configuration > Network and click the add icon
b.
Enter a name for the management interface, and check the boxes for Enable
Interface and Allow Administration.

Select an IP address and click APPLY.
