BASIC OPERATION
■ Turning ON power
➥ Hold down [ ] for 1 second to turn ON power.
• Hold down [ ] for 1 second to turn OFF power.
• After the opening message and power source voltage
are displayed, the operating frequency or repeater name
appears.
TIP: The opening message and power source volt-
age display options can be turned ON or OFF in the
Display menu.

■ Adjusting the audio level

➥ Rotate [VOL] to adjust the audio level.
• If the squelch is closed, hold down [SQL] while adjusting
the audio level.
• The display shows the volume level while adjusting.
TIP: The beep level is adjusted in the Sounds menu.
