POSSIBLE CAUSES
Loose or broken wire in charge coil circuit
Voltage Regulator failure
Starter solenoid or starter motor failure
Key switch failure
Cylinder and/or crankcase flooded with
fuel
Neutral switch failure (failed open)
Transmission shifter linkage is binding or
is out of adjustment
Diode 5 failed open
Loose or broken wire in charge coil circuit
Charge coil is shorted (failed closed)
25-amp fuse is blown
Voltage Regulator failure
Battery failure
Transmission shifter linkage is binding or
is out of adjustment
Idle RPM Setting is set too high
Insufficient (low) level of lubricant or
wrong type of lubricant in transmission
Internal gears are damaged or worn
Engine mounting nuts or bolts are loose
Misaligned muffler mounting clamp
Damaged drive belt
Damaged drive clutch
Damaged driven clutch
RPM setting is incorrect
Drive belt is worn, cracked, glazed, or
frayed
Drive clutch malfunction
