Alternatively, masks may be installed at each
side of the screen in order to change the width
of the screen but not its height.

Add masks for "flat"
•
Open masks for "scope"
In some cases, a theatre has both side and
top/bottom masking installed. This arrangement
is the most flexible of all.
Refer to Table 4.2 for a summary of the basic factors affecting cinema displays in a
variety of theatres.
