4.23 TFT FL
CAUTION: When you remove the TFT FL, be careful not to let any dust or other
foreign matter contaminate the LCD panel. Any contamination can affect the
performance of the unit.
Removing the TFT FL
To remove the TFT FL, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-46.
1. Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, optional PCMCIA card,
display mask, TFT FL inverter board, and LCD module as described in Sections
4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.17, 4.19 and 4.20.
3. Place the LCD module face down and remove two M2x6 silver screws.
4. Release six latches.
5. Lift off the metal FL cover.
6. Lift the FL out of the frame.
