4.17 Display Mask

Removing the Display Mask
To remove the display mask, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-37 and 4-38.
1. Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory module, and optional PCMCIA card as
described in Sections 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4.
3. Remove two rubber cushions from the top corners of the display and two mask
seals at the hinges to expose four M2.5x6 screws securing the display mask.
4. Remove the four M2.5x6 screws that were covered by the cushions and seals.
