Performance Module with the Setup Wizard
This appendix describes how to complete the installation of an 9730 Performance Module after
installing the module hardware as described in the HP StoreAll 9730 Storage Performance Module
Installation Instructions.

Performance Module installation prerequisites

Before starting the HP StoreAll 9730 Storage system Performance Module installation, ensure that:
The blades in the performance module are seated, and the storage are cabled and powered
on as described in the HP StoreAll 9730 Storage Performance Module Installation Instructions.
The latest HP StoreAll OS Software release is installed on each blade, as described in
the initial expansion blade" (page

Installing expansion blades

This section provides information on how to install the initial and subsequent expansion blades.
The examples in this procedure show the installation of the initial performance module—adding
new blades to an existing 9730 cluster with two blades. Additional performance modules are
installed in the same manner. The following screen shows the cluster before the expansion blades
are added.
To install the initial blade in the expansion module:
NOTE: At any time during this installation process, you may, on most screens, click Cancel to
abort the procedure or Back to return to the previous screen. If available, you can also press F1
to display on-screen help information.
Use the Space bar and Tab key to move between screen options or move to available screen
buttons, such as Cancel, Ok, Back, and so forth.
