1 1. If the cluster consists of HP StoreAll 9730 Storage servers:
a.
On every HP StoreAll 9730 Storage server in the cluster, run the following command:
/opt/hp/platform/bin/X9730_setup
b.
On the server running the active version of Fusion Manager, enter the following command
for each server in the cluster:
ibrix_server
where <SERVERHOSTNAME> is the host name of the server.
For example, if four servers are in the cluster, the command would be entered four separate
times. Since the four servers each have different host names, the command is entered
each time with a different server host name.
12. If the server is an HP StoreAll 9300, 9320, 8200 or 8800 Storage system, then enter the
following command on the server running the active version of Fusion Manager.
a.
For each server in the cluster, enter:
ibrix_powersrc -a -t ilo -h <SERVERHOSTNAME> -I <ILOIPADDRESS>
-u ibrixpwr -p hpinvent
<SERVERHOSTNAME> is the host name of the server.
<ILOIPADDRESS> is the iLO IP address for the iLO port of the server.
b.
For each high availability (HA) pair in the cluster, enter:
ibrix_server -b -h <SERVERHOSTNAME1>,<SERVERHOSTNAME2>
where <SERVERHOSTNAME1> and <SERVERNAME2> are the HA backup pair in the
cluster. In
Figure 44 (page
backup pair, and r3r10-s5 and r3r10-s6 are an HA backup pair.
A high availability (HA) pair cannot be configured
Probable causes:
Network configuration failed on the server.
The command timed out.
Troubleshooting steps:
Try to ping the server. If you cannot reach the server, the network settings on the server may
have failed. This can be due to temporary connectivity conditions. Use the iLO to assign
network details, such as the IP address and host name; relaunch the wizard, and try to set the
HA pair again.
If the operation still fails, use the following command to set the HA pair:
ibrix_server -b -h SERVERNAME1,SERVERNAME2
Network inconsistencies or an outage could cause the wizard to fail. Usually, a network
outage lasts only a few minutes. Relaunch the wizard, go to the File Servers screen, and click
Next to try to set HA pair again.
