Complete the Network Configuration screen(s):
Hostname: The host name (in the example, Bond0) can include alphanumeric characters
and the hyphen ( ) special character. It is a best practice to use only lowercase characters
in host names; uppercase characters can cause issues with the HP StoreAll OS Software.
Do not use an underscore (_) in the host name.
IP Address: The IP address is the address of the server on Bond0.
Netmask: The netmask (a 32-bit mask) divides an IP address into subnets and specifies
the available network hosts. This field is auto-filled with 255.255.0.0, but the netmask
entry may need to be modified, based on your specific network subnets.
Default Gateway: The default gateway provides a route between networks. If your default
gateway is on a different subnet than Bond0, skip this field.
Later in this procedure, you can select either web UI or ASCII mode to complete the
installation. A gateway address is required to use the web UI.
VLAN Tag ID: VLAN capabilities provide hardware support for running multiple logical
networks over the same physical networking hardware. HP StoreAll supports the ability
to associate a VLAN tag with an FSN interface. For more information, see the HP StoreAll
Storage Network Best Practices Guide.
F2 (function key): If you pressed F2 in
Configuration screen and the Advanced Configuration screen. Use the Network
Configuration screen to change default parameters; and use the Advanced Configuration
screen to modify parameters, such as slaves, bond options, the network role of any bond,
and so forth.
