User accounts and privileges
Introduction
The following section provides an overview of the user accounts and privileges
you require to run the Dashboard utility.
Required user accounts and privileges
If you are running the Dashboard on a remote computer, it must have access to
the registry, event logs, and other items on the Symposium Web Center Portal
server. The user running the Dashboard must have User permissions on the
Symposium Web Center Portal server and the External Web server. For more
information, refer to your Windows documentation.
Note: You can also enable the guest account on the External Web server. Contact
your network administrator before you enable the guest account.
If the remote computer does not reside in the same domain as the Symposium
Web Center Portal server, you must establish a trust relationship between the
two domains. See the Windows User Manager Help for more information on
trust relationships.
