Portal Agent Interface checklist
Steps
Ensure IIS is installed on the computer on which you are going to
install the Agent Interface component. Microsoft Internet
Information Server (IIS) is installed as part of Windows 2000 Server.
It is not installed as part of Windows 2000 Advanced Server. If it is
not installed on your computer, install it now. For more information
about installing IIS, refer to your Microsoft documentation.
Note: After you install IIS, you must reinstall Service Pack 4.
Ensure that you have DirectX 9.0b (or later) installed on the
computer. For more information, see "To verify your version of
DirectX" on page 143.
Ensure you know the host name of the External Web server.
Ensure you know the path to the Agent Interface server root
directory. This is usually c:\Inetpub\wwwroot.
Ensure that J2SE is installed on the Portal Agent Interface server. For
more information, see "To install J2SE 1.4.1 JRE" on page 85.
Install the Portal Agent Interface component. For more information,
see "To install the Portal Agent Interface" on page 119.
