Configuring the Address Book feature

Introduction
Symposium Web Center Portal includes an LDAP client that is used to retrieve
e-mail information from the LDAP server (e-mail server). The Address Book
allows you to view all the e-mail addresses retrieved by Symposium Web Center
Portal from the LDAP server. Administrators can change the settings for the
Symposium Web Center Portal Address Book to meet their requirements. You
can use the Portal Administrator to log on to the Address Book administration
window and configure the LDAP settings to
set a user name and password for connecting to the LDAP server

test the LDAP server connection
!
set and change the search criteria
!
set and change the time limit of a search
!
configure the polling interval, which determines how often the LDAP
!
service polls the e-mail server for mail addresses
Note: Contact your distributor for white papers about e-mail servers and LDAP.
To configure the Address Book

Log on to the Portal Administrator.

Click the plus sign (+) next to Symposium Web Center Portal.
