Sample Customer Interface component overview
Symposium Web Center Portal provides an interface for web users to submit
requests to a contact center through a web browser. The Sample Customer
Interface is a sample application you can use to see this functionality.
The sample application is fully customizable. It is based on a Financial Services
organization and has been created using Java technology in an N-tier
architecture. For more information about creating your own Customer Interface,
refer to "Customizing the Customer Interface" on page 551.
The sample allows customers to register accounts online, submit requests,
schedule callbacks, and engage in a collaborative web session using the Web
Communications component. For more information, refer to "Installing the
Sample Customer Interface and Web Communications components" on page
160.
The Sample Customer Interface is installed on a customer-facing web server
with Internet access.
