Setting the Left Hydraulic Pump Neutral
Position
10. Place the motion control levers in the neutral
position.
11. Loosen the jam nuts at the ball joints on the pump
control rod (Fig. 330).

12. Start the engine, open the throttle 1/2 way and
release the parking brake.
13. Adjust the pump rod length by rotating double nuts
on rod, in the appropriate direction, until wheel is
stopped or slightly creeps in reverse (Fig. 331).
Note: The front nut on the pump rod has left-hand
threads.

14. Move the motion control lever forward and reverse,
then back to neutral. The wheel must stop turning; it
is acceptable to have a slight creep in reverse.
15. Open the throttle to Fast. Make sure the wheel re-
mains stopped or slightly creeps in reverse; adjust if
necessary.
