Adjusting the Halftone

You can easily adjust the halftone when the color halftone deviates in the print quality. Adjusting the halftone
allows the machine to maintain a constant level of print quality.
To adjust the halftone, print a halftone adjustment chart, compare the densities with the "Calibration Sample"
included with this machine to get the density setting values, and enters the settings in the machine.
The Yellow (Y), Magenta (M), Cyan (C), and Black (K) colors can be adjusted to low density (Low), medium density
(Mid), and high density (High).
To restore the density setting values to the initial values (factory settings) after correcting gradation, set all values
to [0]. If [0]t is set, gradation correction does not run during printing.
Important
If the color halftone deviates even after adjusting the halftone, please contact the store where you purchased the unit or
our Customer Support Center.
Configuring the density setting values to the factory settings (all [0]) does not mean that the image quality at the time of
installation will return. As the length of use increases, the image quality will differ from the quality at the time of
installation due to machine aging, environmental changes, the number of pages printed, and other factors.
Printing the Halftone Adjustment Chart
There are two types of halftone adjustment charts which are the resolution priority and halftone priority charts.
The resolution priority chart is a sheet which adjusts areas that emphasize definition such as text. The halftone
priority chart is a sheet which adjusts the smoothness of halftones in graphics which include gradations etc. and
photo images.

Determining the Density Setting
The density setting value is determined by comparing the printed halftone adjustment chart with the density of the
calibration sample included with this machine.
Look for the density which is close to the density of the calibration sample from among the adjustment patches of
the halftone adjustment chart.
