LDAP server authentication is performed by using the entered User ID and password.
[Authentication of User Attributes]
The entered User ID is used as an attribute value configured to [Attribute of Typed User Name] to search on the
LDAP server. Attribute values configured to [Attribute of Login User Name] of discovered users are used as User
IDs of jobs.
[Attribute of Typed User Name]
Configure the user ID attributes of the entered user ID when the authentication method for LDAP authentication is
[Authentication of User Attributes].
Configure the attributes of the User Attribute information registered to the LDAP server for values to be entered as
user names from the control panel. For example, configure "mail" to request entry of an email address.
[Attribute of Login User Name]
Enter the actual attribute to be used for authentication from the User Attribute information registered to the LDAP
server.
[Use Added Text String]
Configure whether to add the information entered for [Text String Added to User Name] automatically when
entering authentication information from the control panel.
[Text String Added to User Name]
Configure the text to be added when adding text to the user name.
Enter the fixed text when [Use Added Text String] is [Enabled].
Example)
When [Attribute of Typed User Name] is "mail", and the registration information of the target user is
"mail@myhost.example.com", "mail@myhost.example.com" must always be entered.
You can simplify entry by configuring [Use Added Text String] to [Enabled] and specifying [Text String Added to
User Name] to "@myhost.example.com". In this case, only "mail" needs to be entered from the control panel
because the machine will add "@myhost.example.com".
[Attribute of Smart Card]
Configure the search attributes of card IDs when performing LDAP authentication using IC cards.
[Network User ID Attribute]
Configure the attributes of user names to be searched by card IDs of IC cards when performing LDAP
authentication using IC cards. Acquired user names are used as authentication information to be reported to
external services.
[Login Credentials to Search Entries]
Configure the user to be used during search.
[Login Name]
Configure user names when accessing a directory server by LDAP authentication of the [Authentication of User
Attributes] method. Configure only when directory service authentication is necessary.
[Password]
Configure the login passwords of users specified by [Login Name].
[Search Directory Root]
The character string to be the origin point of search can be entered.
[Search Scope]
Configure the search range from the origin point.
[Object Class of Search Target]
Object classes for search can be entered.
