For [Device Access], select [Unlocked] or [Locked].
Note
If [Locked] is configured, authentication is required for all operations at the control panel of the machine.

Tap [App Access].

Configure whether authentication is required for operation for each service.
1)
Tap the service to be changed.
2)
Select the setting.
Note
When set to [Locked (Show Icon)],
required to use the service.
When set to [Locked (Hide Icon)], the corresponding app is not displayed on the Home screen in an unauthenticated
state.
Configuring Authorization Groups (machine authentication)
Register an Authorization Group to assign to users authenticated on the machine.
1.
Tap the authentication information display area in the upper left of the Home screen and log in as the
administrator.
2.
Tap [Device].
3.
Tap [Authentication / Accounting]>[Authentication / Security Settings].
4.
Tap [Authentication]>[Create Authorization Groups].
5.
Select the Authorization Group to be registered, and then tap [Create / Delete].
Note
No. 00 [DefaultGroup (Default)] is the default Authorization Group for newly created users. Users who are not
authenticated also belong to the default Authorization Group.
The default Authorization Group can be changed similar to other Authorization Groups.
6.
Tap [Group Name], enter a name, and then tap [OK].

Tap the authorization that you wish to change and select Set.
Registering users (Local Accounts)
When [Login Type] is set to [Log In to Local Accounts], register an authenticated user on the machine.
You can configure management privileges, service use limitations, and the upper limit for number of pages by user.
1.
Tap the display area of authentication information at the top left of the Home screen, and then login as a
machine administrator.
2.
Tap [Device].
3.
Tap [Authentication / Accounting] > [Accounting].

Tap [Create / View User Accounts].
