Configure whether to request password entry during IC card authentication in the case of external
authentication.
[Smart Card Certificate Verification]
Configure whether to verify the certificate of IC cards when using IC cards.
If this checkbox is selected, not only is the owner of the IC card verified by a PIN code, the certificate within the IC
card and matching of the key with the private key are verified. In this case, a root certificate-authority certificate
of the certificate of the IC card must be imported into this machine.
If this checkbox is cleared, the owner of the IC card is verified by a PIN code.
[Kerberos]
Configure whether to verify the certificate of the Kerberos server when it is used for an external authentication
server.

This item is displayed when the customization extension function is being used.
[Smart Card Logout Timing]
Configure the method to cancel authentication during non-contact IC card authentication.
[Save Remote Accounts in This Device]
Configure whether to save the user information used for external authentication to this machine. If saving is
configured and external authentication is performed, user information is saved to this machine. The user
information saved to this machine is used to authenticate users, so this machine can be used even when an
external authentication server is not running during external authentication.
Note
Only users authenticated by IC cards are subject to the setting.
[Delete Remote Accounts]
Configure whether to delete user information for external authentication saved to this machine.

[Invalid Login Settings]
This feature prevents unauthorized operations from spoofing. Configure the number of failed attempts to deny
access when authentication of the same user ID fails consecutively.
Note
If this machine is restarted, the number of failed attempts is reset.
To cancel denial of access, restart this machine.
A limit for the number of authentication attempts by general users can be configured for printer authentication.
[Password Policy]
[Password for Control Panel Login]
Configure whether to enter a password when a user uses this machine.
[Password for Smart Card Login]
Configure whether to enter a password when the machine administrator or user authenticates by IC card in the
case of machine authentication.
[Minimum Password Length]
Specify the minimum number of digits for the password.
[Maximum Password Length]
Specify the maximum number of digits for the password.
[Charge / Private Print Settings]
Configure how to handle received print jobs.
You can print print jobs directly or save print jobs to Authentication Print and Private Print of stored documents
temporarily.
