Software on an Avaya DEFINITY Server CSI
If any command does not complete successfully, escalate the problem
immediately. After the upgrade you will check the same administration to ensure
that the translations are intact.
Disable scheduled maintenance
and alarm origination
To prevent scheduled daily maintenance from interfering with the upgrade:
1. Type change system-parameters maintenance and press
2. If scheduled maintenance is in progress, set the Stop Time field to 1
minute after the current time.
or
If scheduled maintenance is not in progress, set the Start Time field to a
time after the upgrade will be completed.
For example, if you start the upgrade at 8:00 P.M. and the upgrade takes
90 minutes, set the Start Time field to 21:30.

3. Type neither in the Alarm Origination to OSS Numbers field and
press

Check link status

1. Enter display communication-interface links and press
2. Note all administered links.
3. Type status link number and press
Check the following fields for the values listed:

CAUTION:
If you do not disable Alarm Origination, the system can generate
alarms, resulting in unnecessary trouble tickets.

Disabling alarm origination prevents the system from generating
alarms, thus preventing unnecessary trouble tickets.

For Release 7 and later, the only way to determine if an ISDN-PRI
D-Channel is up is to type status signaling group and press
