To configure the size of the IPv4 Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) event history buffers, use the ip
pim event-history command. To revert to the default buffer size, use the no form of this command.

All history buffers are allocated as small.

Usage Guidelines
This command requires the LAN Base Services license.

no ip pim event-history {assert-receive | bidir | cli | hello | join-prune | null-register | packet |
pim-internal | rp | vrf} size buffer-size
Configures the assert receive event history buffer.
Configures the Bidir event history buffer.
Configures the CLI event history buffer.
Configures the hello event history buffer.
Configures the join-prune event history buffer.
Configures the null register event history buffer.
Configures the packet event history buffer.
Configures the PIM internal event history buffer.
Configures the rendezvous point (RP) event history buffer.
Configures the virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) event history buffer.
Specifies the size of the buffer to allocate.
Buffer size is one of the following values: disabled, large, medium, or small. The
default buffer size is small.
