INSPECTION PROCEDURE
TOYOTA hand–held tester
Check fuel pump operation.
Check for ECM power source circuit (See page EG2–565).
Check fuel pump (See page EG2–234).
Check for open in harness and connector between
terminal FP of DLC 1 and fuel pump, fuel pump
and body ground (See page IN–31).
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
(1) Be sure that enough fuel is in the tank.
(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
(3) Using SST, connect terminals FP and + B of
DLC 1,
SST 09843–18020
Check that pulsation damper screw rises up when
terminals are connected.
Never make a mistake with the terminal connec–
tion position as this will cause a malfunction.
The pulsation damper screw rises up.
Go to step
Repair or replace.
Repair or replace fuel pump.
