Check voltage between terminals VTA and E2 of ECM.
Check and replace ECM (See page IN–36).
Check voltage between terminals VC and E2 of ECM.
Check for open in harness and connector between
ECM and sensor (VC line) (See page IN–31).
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
(1) Remove glove compartment.
(See page EG2–309)
(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between terminals VTA and E2 of
ECM.
Throttle Valve
Check for open and short in harness and
connector between ECM and throttle posi-
tion sensor (VTA line) (See page IN–31).
(1) Remove glove compartment.
(See page EG2–309)
(2) Turn ignition switch ON.
Measure voltage between terminals VC and E2 of
engine control module connector.
Voltage: 4.5 – 5.5 V
Check and replace ECM (See page IN–36).
