INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Check resistance of crankshaft position sensor.

INSPECTION USING OSCILLOSCOPE
– CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Disconnect crankshaft position sensor connector.
Measure resistance of crankshaft position sensor.
Cold
Hot
"Cold" is from –102C (142 F) to 502C (1222 F) and
"Hot" is from 502C (1222F) to 1 002C (2122F).
During cranking or idling, check between terminals
G22(+) and G22 (–) , NE(+) and NE (–) of engine
control module.
HINT: The correct waveforms appear as shown in the
illustration on the left.
Replace crankshaft position sensor.

1,630 – 2,740 Ω
2,065 – 3,225 Ω
