INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Check resistance of camshaft position sensor.
INSPECTION USING OSCILLOSCOPE
Reference
1MZ–FE ENGINE – CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Disconnect camshaft position sensor connector.
Measure resistance of camshaft position sensor.
Cold
Hot
"Cold is form –102C (1402F) to 502C (1222F) and
"Hot" is form 502C (1222 F) to 1002C ( 2122F).
During cranking or idling, check between terminals
G 22(+) and G22(–), NE(+) and NE (–) of engine control
module.
HINT: The correct waveforms appear as shown in the
illustration on the left.
Replace camshaft position sensor.

835 – 1,400W
1,060 – 1,645W
