repeated exposure to it may lead to
chronic disorders. Avoid minimize
getting UV light on your skin or eyes.
Impairment of eyes caused by UV light
may be:
Acute disorders ... Pain in eyes,
tearing, etc.
Chronic disorders ... Cataract, etc.
When UV light applies to you, take
protective measures such as gloves,
long-sleeve cloth, light-resistant mask,
attached light-resistant goggles, etc.
About cleaning
After using the unit for a long time,
foreign materials and dust may be
gathered on the conductive and
insulating parts, causing electric
leakage. Periodically clean such parts.
To clean the printer, use a vacuum
cleaner and not compressed air which
scatters foreign material and dust
which can cause the printer failures.
Do not use the printer in a place where
there is a possibility of being wet, or
electrical leakage may occur.
Electrical leakage, if it occurred, might
make workers get electric shocks and
cause fire.
In order to prevent accidents, be sure
to carry out periodic inspections and
replacements of components needing
periodic replacement.
CAUTION
About hot parts
The UV lamp and the interior of the
UV irradiation device will have a very
high temperature. When carrying out
maintenance, turn off the lamp and wait
until it is sufficiently cool.
Some parts on the outside of the
printer get very hot.
These parts have warning labels. Wait
until these parts have cooled before
touching them.
When you may touch the printer when
it is very hot, wear insulated gloves.
About firing and smoking
Touching hot parts such as the UV
lamp with combustible materials may
cause fire or the material to smoke.
After the printer is used for a long time,
screws and other fasteners on the
conductive parts may loosen and
cause a fire or smoke. Periodically
tighten such fasteners.
After the printer is used for a long time,
foreign materials or dust gathered on
the stabilizer or other parts and cause
electrical leakage or insulation
deterioration resulting in a fire or
smoking. Periodically clean these
parts and measurements of the
insulation resistance.
This printer is not explosion proof. Do
not use in an atmosphere where it is
exposed to hazardous or flammable
materials.
If the printer is smoking or sparking, or
has an abnormal order, turn it OFF
immediately and contact MIMAKI.
