2. Remove the oil pan 3 from the exhaust
guide 4, and then remove the baffle
plate 5.
3. Remove the oil strainer 6 and the gas-
ket 7 from the exhaust guide.
4. Remove the oil seal 8 from the exhaust
guide.

Upper case and steering arm
Checking the exhaust manifold, oil
pan, and exhaust guide
1. Check the exhaust manifold, oil pan and
exhaust guide. Replace if cracked or cor-
roded.
NOTE:
Clean the removed parts before checking
them.

Checking the oil strainer

1. Check the oil strainer. Clean if there is
dirt and residue.
Assembling the exhaust guide, oil
pan, and exhaust manifold
1. Install a new oil seal 1 into the exhaust
guide 2.
