NOTE:
When loosening the crankcase bolts, loosen
them in the opposite order used for tighten-
ing.

(0.0004–0.0015 in)
Selecting the crankshaft main
bearing
1. Check the stamped marks a and b on
the crankcase and cylinder block.

NOTE:
The stamped mark a for the main bearing of
crankshaft journal #1 is on the crankcase
cover and the stamped mark b for the main
bearing of crankshaft journal #2 is on the cyl-
inder block.
2. Select the suitable bearing color c for
the main bearing from the table.

1. Assemble the piston 1, connecting rod

CAUTION:
c
Do not reuse the piston pin clips 4,
always replace them with new ones.
NOTE:
• Face the projections a on the connecting
rod in the same direction as the "UP" mark

• Do not allow the piston pin clip end to align
with the piston pin slot c.
