Assembly overview - towing bracket

1 - Bolt
❑ Sealing plugs
❑ Qty. 3
❑ Specified torque: 20 Nm
DANGER!
The bolts -1- function as
plugs and seal the pas‐
senger compartment
against exhaust fumes,
and must without excep‐
tion be installed.
2 - Towing bracket
❑ Illustration shows tow‐
ing bracket with remov‐
able ball head -2-
3 - Ball coupling
❑ Removable ball hitch is
housed in fold-out lug‐
gage compartment floor
4 - Bolt
❑ Qty. 2 on each side
❑ Specified torque: 50 Nm
+ turn 90° + 30° further
WARNING
Bolts -4- must always be
renewed after being re‐
moved.

The specified torques refer only to factory-installed towing brackets.

– Remove rear bumper cover
– Remove rear silencer ⇒ Exhaust system; Rep. Gr. 26 ; Si‐
lencer with mountings .
– Remove heat shield.
