LDP creates FEC for all destination networks except the route net-
works obtained by BGP.
By default, LDP creates FEC for all destination networks except
the route networks obtained by BGP. However, the number of
networks may be so large that it needs to filter the network for
which FEC need not be created ; or the network administrator
wants to control the creation of FEC , that is, FEC is created
only for the authorized network. This command can realize
such functions.
The mpls ldp access-fec for <prefix-access-list> command
can make filter be based on access list. FEC can be created
for all destination addresses allowed by the access list. Only
standard ACL is supported now.
The mpls ldp access-fec host-route-only command make
FEC be created only for the destination address with 32-bit
mask. The mpls ldp access-fec host-route-only command
is especially valid in the MPLS/BGP VPN application, because
under such application, LDP only exchanges the label of the
next-hop address (that is, the outer label, the label to the PE)
of VPN routes. The mpls ldp access-fec host-route-only
command can effectively decrease the number of FECs.
This command does not collide with the above two policies.
By default, FEC is not created for route networks obtained by
BGP. This command can make FEC also be created for route
networks obtained by BGP.
Use the mpls ldp access-fec command to configure policy but
it does not take effect immediately. But The mpls ldp acce
ss-fec force command makes the configuration take effect
immediately.
Tip:
mpls ldp access-fec for <prefix-access-list> and mpls ldp acce
ss-fec host-route-only are mutually exclusive. Thus the network
administrator can choose only one control policy at any time.
1. This example describes how to configure the router to create
FEC only for the destination address with 32-bit mask:
ZXR10(config)#mpls ldp access-fec host-route-only
2. This example describes how to configure the router to create
the labels of networks 10.101.0.0 and 10.221.0.0 only and
they act immediately.
ZXR10(config)#ip access-list standard 10
ZXR10(config-std-nacl)#permit 10.101.0.0 0.0.255.255
ZXR10(config-std-nacl)#permit 10.221.0.0 0.0.255.255
ZXR10(config-std-nacl)#exit
ZXR10(config)#mpls ldp access-fec for 10
3. This example describes how to configure the router to create
FEC for route networks obtained by BGP.
ZXR10(config)#mpls ldp access-fec bgp
show mpls ldp binding
show running-config
