576 Configuring MWI on DPNSS 1 networks

Setting Message Waiting Indication

Follow these steps to set the MWI:

Ensure that you have programmed a telephone to access target lines for receiving messages.
For information on access to target lines, refer to
page 573.
2 Click on the keys beside Services, Telephony Services, System DNs, and Active Set DNs.
3 Click a DN (DN 221-528).
4 Click on the key beside Line access and Line assignment.

Select the target line you specified in

Click Y to enable Vmsg set.
When Vmsg is enabled for a target line on a telephone, the telephone logs Message Waiting
Indication/Cancellation received for the corresponding target lines to the user.
