Programming BRI lines

Once the loops and lines are provisioned
("Provisioning the Loop" on page 285
and
"Provisioning
the lines" on page
286), you program the lines in the same manner as you do for non-BRI lines,
under the Services, Telephony Services, Lines heading. Refer to
"BRI fields" on page
262.

Programming note: BRI lines can be configured as manual answer or auto-answer lines. If the
lines are configured as auto-answer lines, you need to set up target lines with the received # set to
the network number supplied by the ISDN service provider, then assign the target line to the ISDN
devices and other system telephones that will receive calls over this line. Refer to
"Assigning
target lines" on page
297.
BRI lines can also be assigned restrictions
("Assigning Restrictions" on page
273) and the Telco
features
("Setting line telco features" on page
275).
